       and to Hold unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and assigns for ever
       to his and their Proper use and behoof and to no other use meaning or Intent
       whatsoever And the said Thomas Sligh for himself his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs
       doth Covenant and agree with him the said Charles Carroll that at the time
       of the ensealing and Delivery of these Presents he the said Thomas Sligh
       hath good right full power and lawfull Authority to give grant Bargain
       Sell Alien enfeoffe and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll his
       heirs and Assigns for ever the said Three Tracts or Parcels of Land with their
       appurtenances And the said Thomas Sligh Doth also ^further^ for himself his heirs
       Executors and Adm.rs Covenant and agree to and with him the said Charles
       Carroll that he the said Charles his heirs and Assigns for ever shall and
       may Peaceably and Quietly have hold use Occupy and Enjoy the said three
       Tracts of Land Viz.t James Park Two hundred Acres Boarings Landing
       One Hundred Acres Sligh's Discovery fifty Acres Free and Clear of any
       or other older Surveys Rents Arrearages of Rents or other Claims whatsoever
       Saving the Chief Rents hereafter to become due to the Lord Proprietary
       and likewise that he the said Thomas Sligh and his heirs shall and will
       well and Sufficiently Warrant and for ever Defend the said three tracts
       of Land with their and every of their appurtenances And to Contain as
       afs.d three hundred and fifty Acres of Land Clear of all other or Ancienter
       Surveys unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and Assigns for ever
       as well against him the said Thomas Sligh and his heirs as against
       all manner of Persons and Claims whatsoever And the said Thomas
       Sligh doth also Covenant and agree to and with the said Charles
       Carroll his heirs or Assigns or his or their Council Learned in the Law shall
       require Devise or Advise In Witness whereof and the foregoing
       Premisses the said Parties to these Presents have Interchangeably set their
       hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above Written
       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus         Tho.s Sligh   Seal
