434) Original above Copyed Bill to M.r Isaac Milner to whom the same is Directed and Demanded Payment thereof he answered that he would not pay the said Bill Therefore I the said Notary at the request af.d did & do hereby protest against James Steuart Drawer of the said Bill and all other concerned for Exchangeree & change and all Costs Damages and Interests suffered and to be suffered for want of Payment of the said Bill True Protested in London in London in the Presence of Arthur Lone Bowman & Ebenezer Tull Witnesses hereunto required Seal In Quorum Veritatem 2 recorded Sept.r 23.d 1743 Gyles Lone Not Pub 1742 Ex.d This Indenture made this Twenty First day of Sep.t in the Year of our Lord God one Thousand seven hundred forty and three Between Thomas Sligh of Baltimore County Merchant on the one part and Charles Carroll of Annapolis Chyrurgeon on the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Sligh for and in Consideration of the sum of eighty pounds sterling money of great Britain to him in hand paid and secured to be paid by him the said Charles Carroll the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and from every part and parcel thereof doth acquit release and discharge him the said Charles Carroll his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs by these presents Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold aliened enfoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Absolutely and freely give grant Bargain sell Alien enfeoffe and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and Assigns for ever all those three following Tracts of Land Scituate lying and being in Baltimore County Containing three hundred and fifty Acres of Land according to the Patents of them respectively that is to say one Tract of Land Called James's Park laid out for and Granted unto Thomas James for two hundred Acres Boarings Landing laid out for and Granted unto John Boaring for one hundred Acres of Land Sligh's Discovery Laid out for and granted unto him the said Thomas Sligh for fifty acres of Land Containing in the whole three hundred and fifty Acres Together with all and Singular the buildings Orchards Fencing Woods Underwoods Proffits Advantages and appurtenances on or to the said three tracts or Parcells of Land or either of them in any ways being belonging and appurtaining To have (and) |
