35) hereby Granted Sold or mentioned to be Granted or Sold & Every part or Parcell thereof with all & Singular their & Every of their Appurtenances unto the said John Andrews his Heirs & Assignes against them the said Elizabeth Gin W.m Woodward & Mary Holmes & Every of them & against all & Every Person or Persons Claiming from by or under their or any of them or from by or under the said Amos Garrett deceased & against all & Every of them shall & will Warrant & for Ever defend by these Presents And lastly the said Elizabeth Gin W.m Woodward & Mary Holmes have Constituted ordained appointed & in their Stead & Places put and by these Presents do Constitute ordain Appoint and in their Stead & Places put John Galloway of Ann Arundell County in the said Province of Maryland Gentleman & Edmund Jenings of the City of Annapolis in the said Province Esq.r their true & Lawfull Attornies jointly & Severally for them & Each of their & in their Names & Each of their Names to acknowledge these Presents to be the Act & Deed of them the said Elizabeth Gin William Woodward & Mary Holmes & Every of them & the Land & premisses herein before mentioned to be the Estate Right and Title of him the said John Andrews his Heirs & Assignes according to the Act of Assembly of that Province in Such Cases made & Provided they the said Elizabeth Ginn William Woodward & Mary Holmes hereby ratifying & Confirming whatsoever their said Attorneys or Either of them shall do in that behalf by force & Virtue of these Presents as fully as if they the said Elizabeth Gin W.m Woodward and Mary Holmes had been personally Present doing the same In Witness whereof the said Parties to these Presents have hereunto set their hands & Seals the Day & Year first above Written Eliz Seal Ginn W.m Seal Woodward Mary Seal Holmes On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorst Vizt Signed Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of us John West Michael Wilson 15: March 1737 Then Received of the within named John Andrews the Sum of Sixty Pounds Eighteen Shillings Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned We say received for the use of the within named Eliz.a Gin W.m Woodward & Mary Holmes P Edm.d Jenings Attorney in fact for W.m Woodward & Mary Holmes John Galloway Attorney in fact for Eliz.a Ginn 15.th Day of October 1737 Then Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court Michael Willson one of the Witnesses to the within Indenture of Bargain and Sale who being Sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth & Saith that he Saw the within named Elizabeth Gin William Woodward & Mary Holmes Partys to the aforesaid within Indenture of Bargain & Sale Sign Seal & Deliver the Same as their & Every of their Act & Deed for the Uses therein mentioned on the Day of the day thereof Robert Gordon (8.th) |
