       8.th Day of December 1737 Then Came before me the Subscriber one of his
       Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named John Galloway
       & Edmund Jenings & by Virtue of the Power & Authority to them & Each
       of them given by the within Presents they & Each of them for & in the
       Name and Names of the within mentioned Eliz.a Gin W.m Woodward
       & Mary Holmes Partys to the within Presents & of Every of them did
       acknowledge the within Presents and the within mentioned Indenture of
       Bargaine & Sale to be the Acts & Act Deeds & Deed of the said Elizabeth
       Gin W.m Woodward & Mary Holmes & of Every of them & the Lands &
       Premisses & parcel within mentioned to be the Estate right & title of the
       within named John Andrews his Heirs and Assignes according to the Act
       of Assembly in Such Cases made & provided
                                                                                        Robert Gordon
       Reced Jan.ry the 7.th 1737 of M.r John Andrews for the Lord Baltimore
       use the Sum of Seventeen Shillings & two Pence half penny Sterling
       for the Alienation fine of four hundred & thirty Acres of the within mentioned
       Land By Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r
       his Lordships Agent & Receiver Generall

X.d This Indenture made the Seventeenth Day of Mary in the Year of
       of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred & thirty Eight Between
       Archibald Greenfield of the Province of the Province of Maryland Marriner
       of the one Part & Patrick Kennedy of the Province of new England Merchant
       of the Other Part Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the Sume
       of twenty three Pounds twelve Shillings & Nine Pence Sterling money
       of Great Britain to him the said Archibald in hand Paid at or before
       the Ensealing & Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he the
       said Archibald Greenfield Doth hereby Acknowledge & of & from Every
       Part & Parcell thereof doth hereby Acquit Exonerate & Discharge
       the Said Patrick Kennedy his Ex.rs Adm.rs & Assigns He the Said
       Archibald Greenfield Hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed
       & Confirmed And by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien
       Enfeoffe & Confirme unto the Said Patrick Kennedy his heirs and
       Assigns All that Tract of Land called Over sight lying & being in
       Kent County in the said Province of Maryland Containing one
       hundred & forty Acres which William Copper now Lives upon
       & which the said Archibald lately Purchased of John Derrick
