       April 16 1742 James Dick and Daniel Russell the Subscribing
       Witnesses to the within written Deed & above written appeared before
       Me one of his Lordships Justices of the provincial Court of Maryland
       and made oath on the holy Evangelist severally that they saw
       William Black and Hannah his Wife the Grantors therein
       named sign Seal and as their Act and Deed Deliver the same
       Deed   In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
       the Day and year aforesaid            W.m Rogers

Ex.d     This Indenture made the twenty first day of February
             in the fourteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
       the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland
       King Defender of the Faith &.r And in the year of our Lord One
       Thousand seven hundred and forty Between William Black
       of London Merchant and Hannah his Wife of the one part
       and Richard Williams of Patuxent River in Prince Georges
       County in the province of Maryland Merchant of the other
       part Whereas by an agreement bearing date on or about
       the tenth Day of August One Thousand seven hundred and
       thirty nine the said Richard Williams thereby acknowledged
       that in Consideration of Eight hundred pounds Sterling
       charged ^him^ in account by the said William Black he had absolutely
       brought of him his Plantation on Patuxent in Maryland
       commonly called the Woodyard being in three Tracts formerly
       belonging to Colonel Darnall and Containing about
       Two thousand and fifty Acres more or less hereinafter particularly
       mentioned And reciting that George Gordon Overseer or
       Manager for the said William Black there had made several
