X.d April 1741      Then came Thomas Caton before me the Subscriber one of
       his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court One of the Evidences
       to the within Power of Attorney who made Oath on the Holy Evangels
       of Almighty God that he saw Alexander Black Party to the within
       Instrument of Writing Seal & deliver the same as his Act indeed for
5     the Uses within mentioned

X.d Maryland fs.t   To all Christian people to whome this present
       writing shall come Greeting in our Lord God Everlasting Know yee
       That I Samuel Taylor of Prince Georges County in the province
       of Maryland Planter as well for and in Consideration that
       my Mother Virlinda Browne do and shall when thereunto required
       make over all her Right Interest property and Estate she
       Now hath to a parcell of Land Scituate lying and being in
       Baltimore County and province aforesaid Called or knowne
       by the name of Constant friendship that is to say part of
       the said tract and said to Contain Two hundred & Sixty Acres
       or their abouts unto me the said Samuell Taylor to Discharge
       a debt due to the Executors or administrations of Do.r L.da.t Sim
       and as for other very good Causes and Considerations me there
       unto moving have Given and Granted and by these presents
       do Give grant Assigne and set over to my said Mother
       Virlinda Brown One Negroe boy Called Ignations or Nancy
       aged about fourteen years to have and to hold the said negro
       by Called as aforesaid Ignatious or Nancy unto my said Mother
       Virlinda Browne her heirs and Assignes for ever And for No other
       use Intent or purpose whatsoever but upon the Considerations
       aforesaid which said Negro Called Ignatious or Nancy as afs.d
       I will by these presents Warrant and Defend to my said Mother
