       I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this Sixteenth Day of August Anno
       Domini 1740
       Sealed & Delivered                                             Jacob Andrew Minitree   seal
       in the Presence of      On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorst
                                         viz.t August 16.th Then Came the within Named Jacob
       Robert Gordon                  Andrew Minitree and Acknowledged the within
4     Richard Burdus                  Deed of Gift to be his Act & Deed for the uses Intents
Recorded 18.th Aug.t 1740 and Purposes therein Mentioned         Robert Gordon


Ex.d Maryland fs.t To all Christian People to whom these Presents shall
       Come I Jacob Andrew Minitree of Charles County in the Province af.d
       Carpenter send Greeting in our Lord God Everlasting Know Yee that
       I the Said Jacob Andrew Minitree as well for and in Consideration of the
       Naturall affection and fatherly Love I bear unto my well beloved Daughter
       Elizabeth Minitree as also for divers Other Good Causes & Considerations
       me hereunto especially moving have Given Granted & Confirmed & by these
       Presents do give Grant and Confirm unto the said Elizabeth Minitree
       a Negro Child called Jenny and the first Child that shall be born of the
       Body of a Negro Woman Called Sue by me given to my Daughter Mary
       & their future Increase to have & to hold the Said Negroes and their Increase
       unto the Said Elizabeth Minitree her Heirs Executors Adm.rs & Assignes
       to & for the Severall Uses Intents and Purposes following that is to
       Say the Said Negroes to be the Right & Property of the Said Elizabeth
       Minitree her heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs assignes at her Age of Sixteen years Day
       of Marriage or the Day of my Death which shall first happen & in Case
       she shall happen to Dye then the said Negroes to be the Right & Property
       of Jacob Andrew Minitree Jun.r his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs and Assignes at his
       Age of Twenty one years on the Day of my Death which Shall first happen
       & in Case he shall happen to dye before he attains the Age of Twenty
       one years on the Day of my Death then the said Negroes & their Increase
       to be the Right & Property of Mary Minitree her Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs &
       Assignes at her Age of Sixteen years Day of Marriage or Day of my
       Death which shall first happen and in Case of her Death before she
       Attains the Age of Sixteen Day of her Marriage or Day of my Death then
       the Said Negroes to be the Sole right & Property of me the Said Jacob
