159) Lord Baltimore Lord Propry I say reced P me June 30.th 1740 Recorded July 26.th 1740 5 1/2 Benj.a Tasker Ex.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made the thirtieth Day of July in the Year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred & forty Between Henry Chew of Baltimore County Gent of the one Part and Gerrard Hopkins of Ann Arundell County Gent of the other Part Witnesseth that Whereas the Right Honble Charles absolute Lord & Propry of the af.d Province of Maryland &c by his Deed of Grant or Patent of Confirmation under the Great Seal of the af.d Province bearing Date the twentieth Day of April in the Year of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred & Nine for the Consideration therein mentioned did Grant & Confirm unto Enoch Spinks All that Tract of Land called Batchellors Good Luck lying in Baltemore County af.d in the Woods & on the East & West Sides of a Creek called Deer Creek Beginning at a bounded Hiccory standing on a Ridge respecting the East of a Parcell Land called Halls Rich Neck Containing & then laid out for one thousand Acres of Land more or less as in & by the said recited Deed of Grant or Patent of Confirmation relation being thereto had it doth & may more at large appear And Whereas the said Enoch Spinks by his Deed duely made Executed & recorded by & Between the said Enoch Spinks of the one Part & William Holland Esq.r of the other Part bearing Date the fourth Day of February in the Year of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred & Nine for the Consideration therein mentioned did Give Grant bargain sell Enfeoff & Confirm unto the said William Holland Esq.r his Heirs & Assignes for Ever All the said Tract or Parcell of Land called Batchellors Good Luck as in & by the said recited Deed of Bargain & Sale it doth & may more at Large appear And Whereas William Holland Esq.r aforementioned deced to whom the said Land was Conveyed as af.d by his last Will & Testament bearing Date the Seventeenth Day of August Anno Dom 1724 the af.d Land together with fifty Acres of Land lately purchased by the said William Holland Esq.r deced of Cadwalter Jones He the said William Holland Esq.r did bequeath to his son William Holland his Heirs & Assignes as per (said) |
