                                              Know all men by these Presents That
       I Thomas Watkins of Ann Arundell County for & in Consideration
       of the Sum of Sixty pounds Paper Currency of Maryland to me in
       hand paid by William Mathews of Calvert County at and before the
       Ensealing & delivery of these presents Wherein I confess my self
       to be Justly satisfied contented & paid Have bargained & Sold
       And by these presents do fully Clearly & absolutely sell unto the
       said William Mathews in Plain & Open Marked One bay Stallion
       by me bought of him Rezin Hammond branded on the Near Buttock
       B R also One Roan horse by me got of the said Mathews also
       One Sorrel horse which was formerly M.r Edward Taylor Merch.t
       at S.t Leonards Creek Town also One little mouse Collered Horse
       by me got of William Jones Prince Georges County a Bay Horse
       bought of William Scott the Cooper And also one Feather Bed two
       Pillows & Cases One bolster one pair of Blanketts one pair of Good
       Sheets together with bed stead & Cord & all furniture thereunto
       belonging To have & to hold the above said Articles his Heirs Ex.rs
       Adm.rs or Assigns to his or their own proper use & behoof for ever
       And I the said Thomas Watkins for my heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs Adm.rs &
       Assigns & every of us the said heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs & Assigns unto the
       said William Mathews his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs & Assigns against all
       People shall & will Warrant & quit & for Ever defend the said
       Mathews his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns from all & all manner
       of Person or Persons whatsoever laying Claim Title or Interest
       to any of the Abovesaid Articles by Virtue of these Presents
       Providing always that any of us our heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns
       do well & truly pay unto the s.d Will.m Mathews his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs
       or Assigns the Just & full Sum of Sixty pounds Currency at or
       Upon the twenty fourth Day of August at farthest w.thout
       fraud or Covin That then this present Obligation to be
       Void & of none Effect otherwise to stand remain & be
