       Province Planter for Six hundred Acres & Called and Known by
       the Name of Mary Mount together with all and Singular the
       Appurtenances to the Said one hundred acres or any Part thereof
       Belonging or in any wise Appertaining And the said Richard
       Briant for the Consideration aforesaid Hath Granted bargained
       & Sold & by these Presents Doth grant bargain & Sell unto him the
       Said Joseph Cowman his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns
       One Negro Man called Tom To have hold occupy Possess and Enjoy
       the af.d Parcell of Land & Premisses with the Appurtenances & the
       af.d Negro Man Called Tom to him the Said Joseph Cowman
       his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever & to no
       Other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever Provided Nevertheless and
       it is the True Intent and Meaning of these Presents & the Partys
       hereto that if the Said Richard Briant his Heirs Executors Adm.rs
       and Assigns Do and Shall well and truly pay or Cause to be Paid
       to the Said Joseph Cowman his Executors Administrators or Assigns
       the full Sum of thirteen Pounds Sixteen Shillings and one penny
       Sterling Money of Great Britain at or upon the first Day of August
       Next Ensuing the date hereof & also one other full Sum of Thirteen
       Pounds Sixteen Shillings & one penny Sterling money af.d at or
       upon the first Day of August which shall be in the year of
       our Lord Seventeen hundred & forty one with Legall Interest also
       the remaining Sum of Thirteen Pounds Sixteen Shillings & one
       Penny Sterling at or upon the first Day of August which
       Shall be in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred & forty two
       with Legall Interest without fraud Covin or further Delay
       then this Present deed of Bargain of Sale & Every Clause Article
       & Covenant in the Same contained shall Cease Determine and
       be Utterly Void any thing herein Contained to the Contrary
       Notwithstanding And the Said Richard Briant for himself
       his Heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns Doth hereby Covenant
       Promise Grant & Agree to and with the Said Joseph Cowman
       his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns that he the said
       Richard Briant his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns
