135 Ex.d This Indenture made this Twenty first Day of May in the year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred and forty between John Low of Prince Williams County & Collony of Virginia Farmer of the one Part and John Henthorn of Baltimore County and Province of ^Maryland^ Farmer of the Other Part Witnesseth that the Said John Lowe for and in the Consideration of y.e Sum of Twenty Nine Pounds Current Money of Maryland to him in hand Paid by the Said John Henthorn the Receipt Whereof he Doth hereby Acknowledge and the Said John Henthorn thereof & of Every Part and Parcell thereof Doth Acquit Release and forever Discharge Hath Bargained & Sold & by these Presents Doth Bargain & Sell unto the said John Henthorn all that Tract or Parcell of Land Called or known by the Name of Providence lying in Baltimore County aforesaid Butted and Bounded as followes Viz.t Begining at a Bounded White Oak Standing on a hill Side Near the Wagon Road Leading from Susquahannah Towards Pottowmack and Runing Thence North west forty Perches North East four hundred ^& Sixty^ Pches South East two hundred & Twenty Pches and Thence by a Streight Line unto the begining Containing and Laid Out for three hundred and Seventy two Acres more or less To have and to hold the aforesaid Tract or Parcell of Land with all the Appurtenances thereunto belonging or appurtaining to him the Said John Henthorn his Heirs & Assigns for ever & to his and their own Proper use & Behoof & to & for no Other use Intent or Purpose Whatsoever And the Said John Lowe for himself & his Heirs Doth Covenant and agree to & with the Said John Henthorn his Heirs & Assigns that he the Said John Lowe at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery of These Presents is Seized in his Demesneas of fee of the aforesaid Tract or Parcell of Land with all the Appurtenances & hath Good right Absolute & Lawfull Authority to Sell and Convey the Same & every Part thereof to him the Said John Henthorn his Heirs & Assignes for Ever And the Said John Lowe for himself and his Heirs Doth further Covenant & Agree to and with the Said John Henthorn his Heirs and Assignes that he the Said John Lowe & his Heirs y.e Said Tract or Parcell of Land with the Appurt.nces |
