129) the said Elizabeth Coyle her Heirs & assignes against all Persons whatsoever shall & will Warrant & for Ever hereafter by these Presents and In Witness whereof the said Stephen Higgens & Mary his Wife have to this Present Indenture Put their hands & Seals the Day & Year above written Signed Sealed & Delivered Stephen Higgins Seal in the Presence of Us Mary Higgins Seal Frances Creagh On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Eli.a Bennett Endorst Viz.t y.e 1739 Then Reced of the within named Eliz.a Coyle the full Sum of Seventy five Pounds Ster Sterling Money being the full Consideration Money for the within Granted Lands & Premisses by Us Test Frances Creagh Stephen Higgins Eliz Bennett Mary Higgins Maryland fs.t November y.e 23.d 1739 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Stephen Higgens & acknowledged the within Granted four hundred and Ninety Acres of Land & Premisses to be the right & Estate of the within named Elizabeth Coyle her Heirs & Assignes for Ever At the same time also came Mary Wife of the said Stephen Higgens who being privately ^secretly^ Examined out of the Hearing of her said Husband freely & voluntarily gave up all her right title & demand whatsoever of in or to the within granted Lands and Premisses with their & Every of their Appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Coyle her Heirs & Assignes for Ever & acknowledged the same to be the Proper Right & Estate of the said Elizabeth Coyle her Heirs & Assignes for Ever according to the true Intent & meaning of the within written Deed In Testimony whereof have hereunto Subscribed name the Day & Year above Written Robert Gordon 8 Recorded April 19.th 1740 |
