       This Indenture made this twenty third
       Day of April Anno Domini  One thousand Seven hundred & fourty
       Between John Steelman of Lancaster County in the Province of
       Pensilvania Indian Trader of the One Part and Stephen Onion of
       of Patapsco in the County of Baltimore & Province of Maryland of
       ^Maryland^ the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Steelman for & in
       Consideration of the Sixty Pound Current money of the Province of
       Pensilvania & a Debt due to the Principio Company from the said
       John Steelman agreed by the said Stephen Onion to Discharge and
       Bond given by the said Onion unto the said John Steelman to Discharge
       the receipt of which the said John Steelman doth hereby Acknowledge
       he the said John Steelman hath given granted Bargained
       & Sold conveyed & Confirmed & by these Presents doth give
       Grant Bargain Sell Convey confirm & make Over unto the
       said Stephen Onion his heirs & assigns a Tract of Land called
       Steelmans Delight lying in Cecil County & upon a Creek
       called Back Creek heretofore Conveyed unto the said John Steelman
       for two hundred Acres of Land being Part of Talbots
       Mannor Reference being had unto the Records for the
       Meets & bounds thereof together with all & Singular the
       Premises unto the said two hundred acres of Land belonging and
       also all the Right Estate interest Benefit claim & Demand
       whatsoever of him the said John Steelman of in & to all and
       Singular the said Premisses & Appurtenances & of in & to
       Every Part & Parcell thereof To have & to hold the said Tract
       of Land & all & Singular the Premisses hereby Granted
       with their & Every of their Appurtenances unto the said Stephen
       Onion his heirs & assigns for ever to the only Proper
       use & behoof of the said Stephen Onion his heirs & assigns
       for ever more And the said John Steelman doth Covenant
       & Agree with the said Stephen Onion his heirs & Assigns
