(88) x.d This Indenture Made the six Day of May in the Year of our Lord 1731 Between Benjamin Stevens of Ann.ll County in the Province of Maryland Carpenter of the one part and Benjamin Belt of Prince Georges planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Benj.a Stevens for and in Consideration of the sum of Thirty pounds Current Money of Maryland to him in hand paid at and before Ensealing and Delivery of those Presents & the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and ever therefore Acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said Benj.a Belt his heirs Executors and Adm.rs by those presents have Given Granted Bargained Sold ensolled and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Ensolled Oblivate Confirm unto the said Benj.a Belt his heirs and assignes for ever all That Tract or parcell of Land now called Stevens Hills Lying in the County of annr'l more and on the South side of the Main falls of Patapsco River Beginning at the end of the South West forty two perches line of the Land called Belts Hills and running thence North West by West Eighty Six perches thence West forty four perches thence South Sixty Perches Thence West twenty four perches thence West North West Sixty perches then South West Thirty four perches thence West North West Twenty Eight perches thence South South West ninty perches thence North West Sixty perches thence South West Sixteen Perches thence North West Seventy two perches thence South West twenty perches thence North West Sixty pches thence South West Thirty two perches thence South South East fifty perches thence East North East twenty Six perches thence South East twenty Six perches thence East South East fifty eight perches then South South West twenty perches thence North Seventy Degrees East two hundred and forty pches thence South fifty Six Deg.rs East thirty five perches thence with a straight Line to the said Beginning Containing four hundred acres of Land More or less it being the Moyety or half part of the said Land called Belt Hills surv.d for the said John Belt for the Quantity of eight hundred acres of Land as by the Certificate of Survey the 1/2 of Returned into his Lordships Land Office Dated the twenty second Day of March 1719 May at large appear Together with all houses out houses woods underwoods pastures orchards Gardens proper Comodities and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any ways appertaining To have and to hold the aforesaid Tract or parcell of Land called Stevens Hills premisses and appurtenances as as afor.sd to him the said Benja Belt his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper loss and behoofe of him the said Benj.a Belt his heirs assigns for evermore to no other use Intent and purpose whatsoever and the said Benj.a Stevens for him self his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs doth hereby Covenant and Grant to and with the said Benj.a Belt his heirs and assigns for that the af.d Land and at the time of Ensealing and Delivery hereof is free and Clear of and from all and every for ever and other grants Bargains Sales Mortgages and all other Incumbrances whatsoever had made Commited or Done by the said Benj.a Stevens and that his present Grant and Sale of the said Land and Premisses to him the said Benj.a Belt his heirs and assigns for ever shall and will warrant |
