528) x.d This Indenture made the twenty seventh Day of May in the Year one thousand seven hundred & thirty seven Between Alex.r Black of Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland Attorney in fact for William Black of London Merchant of the one Part and Rich.d Hill of the County & province aforesaid Surgeon of the other part Witnesseth that the s.d Rich.d Hill hath for & in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred & thirty three pounds Eighteen Shillings & three pence Sterling to him the said Hill in hand paid by the said Alexander as Attorney in fact for the said William Black The Receipt whereof the said Hill doth hereby acknowledge Hath given Granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed Confirmed & made over as by these presents he the sid Hill doth for himself & his heirs Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe Confirm & make over unto the said W.m Black his Heirs & Assignes for Ever all those Tracts or Pcells of Land following Viz.t One Tract of Land Called Margery lying in Prince Georges County which was Conveyed to him by a Certain William Mordant & Containing two hundred acres be the same more or less Also one other Tract of Land w.ch was Conveyed to the said Hill by Patrick lying in said County & Containing One hundred Acres be the same more or less Also one full third part of Each & Every of these Tracts of Land lying in Prince William County in Virginia which were Originally taken up & Conveyed to the said Hill by Benjamin Grayson as may appear by Deeds of Lease and Release dated the nineteenth & twentyeth Days of October Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty three Together with all the Houses & Improvements thereon & ^or^ thereto belonging or in any ways appertaining To the only Proper use & behoof of him the said William Black his Heirs & Assignes To have & To hold the Lands and Premisses af.d with all & Singular the improvements Conveinencys & Advantages thereon thereto belonging or in any was appertaining unto him the said Willm Black his Heirs & Assignes for Ever And the said Richard Hill Doth Covenant promise & agree to & with the said William Black his Heirs & Assignes the said Lands & Premisses af.d for Ever to warrant & Defend ^against^ the Claims not only of any ^from^ by from or under him but also against the Claims of all persons whatsoever Provided Nevertheless & it is the true intent & meaning of this Deed & of Every Clause and Article therein Contained that if the said Rich.d Hill his Heirs or Assignes shall pay to the af.d William Black or his Certain Attorney Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns the sum of two hundred thirty three pounds Eighteen Shillings & three pence Sterling with lawfull interest thereon at or before the twenty seventh Day of May next Ensueing the Day hereof then this Deed & Every Clause & Article therein Contained to be Null & Void But in Case of failure in payment of the af.d sum & the Interest thereon then this Deed to be in force & Virtue in Law And the said Rich.d Hill doth further form himself his Heirs Executors & Adm.rs Covenant promise & agree to & with the af.d Alexander to pay the af.d sum of two hundred & thirty three Pounds Eighteen Shillings & three pence Sterling at the time af.d with lawfull Interest thereon to the said William (Black) |
