X.d This Indenture Made the Thirtieth Day of September Anno Domini One
       Thousand Seven hundred & thirty Six Between Elizabeth Gin of the City of London
       Widow in her own right & William Woodward of the same Place John Goldsmith &
       Mary Holmes of Newington Butts in the County of Surrey Widow Executors
       Trustees & Devisees of the Testament & Last will of Mary Woodward late of
       Newington Butts af.d Widow Deceased of the one Part And Thomas Davis of
       Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the other part
       Whereas a Tract or Parcell of Land Called Ranters Ridge lying formerly
       in Baltimore but now in Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland
       laid out for Four hundred & fifteen Acres more or Less was on the twentieth
       Day of May Seventeen hundred & five Granted unto Them as Browne late
       of Ann Arundell County af.d Deceased his heirs & assignes which Said Thomas
       Browne in his life time on the thirteenth of February Seventeen hund.d
       & thirteen fourteen by his Indented Deed of Mortgage Duely Executed
       Acknowledged & Recorded for the Consideration therein mentioned Did
       Bargain Sell Enfeoff & Confirm unto Amos Garrett late of the City of
       Annapolis in the said Province Merchant Deceased his heirs & assigns all
       the Said Tract of Land Called Ranters Ridge with Several other Tracts or
       Parcells of Land in the said Deed mentioned Under a Provisoe or Condition
       of Redeeming the Same also in the Same Deed Expressed as by the
       Same Deed Relation being thereunto had may more fully Appear
       And Whereas the said Thomas Browne Dyed before he had Complyed
       with Any Part of the af.d Provisoe or Condition of Redemption & by his
       Testament & last Will Gave & Devised to Joshua Browne his third Son
       the Lower half Part of the said Tract of Land Called Ranters Ridge
       by means of which Divise the said Joshua Browne became Intituled to
       the Equity of Redemption Contained in the af.d Provisoe or Condition of     
       the Said Lower half Part of the said Tract of Land And Thomas
       Browne the Eldest Son & heir of the said Thomas the Patentee after
       his Said Father's Death became Intitled to the Equity & Right of
       Redeeming the upper Part & half of the said Tract of Land Called
       Ranters Ridge And Whereas the said Thomas Browne the
       Eldest Son & heir at Law of the said Thomas the Patentee (the
       Provisoe or Condition of Redemption not being Complyed with)
       by his Indented Deed of Bargain & Sale made the fourth Day of
       October Seventeen hundred & fifteen Duely Executed Acknowledged
