(41)  x.d  This Indenture Made the twenty ninth day of July in the year
                of Our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred & thirty one Between
                Henry Darnall of Prince Georges County Esq.r of the one part & Charles
                Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of the other part Witnesseth that the said
                Henry Darnall for and in Consideration of the sume of Three hundred
                and fifteen pounds two shillings & nine pence half penny sterl
                to him in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll before the Delivery
                hereof the receipt whereof the said Henry Doth hereby acknowledge
                Hath given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed & Confirm.d
                and made over as by these presents he the said Henry Darnall
                Doth for himselfe & his heirs Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien
                Enfeoff Confirme & make over unto h im the said Charles
                Carroll his heirs & assigns for ever all that Tract of Land called
                Northampton Containing fifteen hundred acres more or Less
                Lying in Baltemore County alsoe all the Lands ^Tenements^ & Hereditam.ts
                bequeathed to the said Henry Darnall by John Darnall
                Uncle to the Said Henry in Case of the Death of the Said John
                Darnalls Daughter without Heirs To have and to hold
                the lands and Premisses af.d to him the said Charles Carroll
                his heirs & assignes for ever to the only proper use and
                Behoof of him the Said Charles Carroll his heirs and assigns
                for ever & to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever
                And the Said Henry Darnall Doth for himselfe his heirs
                Executors and Administrators covenant promise grant and
                agree to and with the said Charles Carroll the Lands & premisses
                aforesaid against all persons claiming under him for ever
                hereafter to Warrant and defend And the Said Henry Darnall
                Doth for himselfe his heirs executors & adm.rs covenant promise
                grant & agree to & with the Said Charles Carroll his heirs
                and assignes that he the Said Henry Darnall his hers Ex.rs
                and Adm.rs shall and will at any time hereafter being thereunto
                required & at the Cost & Charge of the Said Charles Carroll or his
                assignes Do make acknowledge suffer & execute or cause to be
                Done Made Acknowledged and Executed any further Act or Acts
                assurance or conveyance in the Law such as the Said Charles
                Carroll his heirs or assignes his or their Council Learned in y.e
                Law shall reasonably Devise or Advise for the further and
                Better Assurance Surety & Sure makeing the af.d Lands and
                Premisses unto him the Said Charles Carroll his heirs and
                assignes ^forever^ In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents
                have Interchangably Sett their hands and affixed their seales
                the Day and Year above Written
