       seventy Acres of Land together with all the Houses Orchards Fencing
       Profitts Advantages & Appurtenances whatsoever thereon or thereunto
       belonging & Appartaining to his & their Proper Use & behoofe & to nother
       Use meaning or Intent whatsoever Provided alwaws Nevertheless that
       in Case he the Said Mich.l Taylor Shall & doe well & truely Pay or cause to
       be Paid unto him the Said Charles Carroll his heirs or assigns at or
       Upon the thirteenth Day of September Next ensueing the Date hereof
       the Said Sum of two hundred & fifty two Pounds Sterl money of Great
       Brittain with the Lawfull Interest thereon that then & in such Case
       the foregoing Deed of Bargain & Sail to become Void Otherwise to be
       & remain & be in full force & Virtue in Law In Witness Whereof and the
       foregoing Premisses the said Parties to these Presents have Interchangably
       set their hands & Affixed their seales the Day & Year first above

                         Then Came before us the subscribers two of his Lordships Justice
       Justices of the Peace for Prince Georges County Mich.l Taylor & Margaret
       his wife & acknowledged the within Deed & the Land & Premisses therein
       Granted & Sold to be the Right & Estate of Charles Carroll of the City of
       Annapolis Chyrurgeon According to the true Intent & Meaning of
       the Within Deed His heirs & Assigns for ever & the Said Margaret
       being Privetly examined apart from her Said Husband Declared
       she Did the same Freely & Willingly & without threats or ill
       useage of her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure
