       June 13.th 1733 Then Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships
       Justices of the provinciall Court John Ross & Acknowledged y.e within      
       Deed by Virtue of the Above power of Attorney & the Lands & premisses
       therein Mentioned to be the Right & Estate of Andrew Caldwell according
       to the Act of assembly in that Case Made & provided

x.d  This Indenture made the thirteenth day of June in
       the Year of Our Lord god one thousand seven hundred thirty three
       Between Andrew Caldwell of Kent County On Delaware Bay on
       the one part & John Ross Esq.r & Charles Carroll Chirurgeon both of the
       City of Annapolis on the other part Witnesseth whereas
       Thomas Cornwallis once of Maryland Esq.r Deceased by his last
       will & Testament bearing Date the 12.th Day of January 1675
       & Duly proved at London Devised to his then wife  Penelope
       Cornwallis all & singular his estate both Real & personal to be by her
       Disposed of During her Natural Life & at her Death to Devise the
       same to such of his Children as in her Discretion she should
       think fitt & Whereas the said Penelope Cornwallis by her last
       Will & Testament bearing Date 22.d Day of July 1693 Duly
       proved Devised her Estate both Real & personal Not
       therein before Devised to her Daughter Penelope Cornwallis
       which Penelope Cornwallis of the City of London Widdow by her Deed of
       Bargain & Sale Bearing Date in London the 2.d Day of July Anno Dom
       1722 & duly attested to before the honrable S.t William Stewart
       Knight Lord Mayor of the s.d City & the Aldermen at Guild Hall in Court
       sitting the 13.th day of July 1722 Conveyed & Made Over Several Lands
       Rights Previledges & Advantages to William Vanhaes Cornwallis
       alias Riddlesden of the middle temple Esq.r who by his Last will &
       Testam.t bearing date 24.th day of March Anno Dom 1727 devised
       the same to be Disposed of by Rebecca Cornwallis his Wife as by his
