(83) the said Samuel Chew hath at the special
instance and request of the said Alexander Adair since the date of the said rented Deed advanced and paid to and for the said Alexander Adair the several sums of eighty four pound eighteen shil & seven pence ster and fifty two p.ds ten shil g.d current the receipt whereof the said Alexander Adair hereby acknowledgeth and himself thereof to be fully content and paid and hath given further day unto the said Alexander to comply with and performeth severall payments and conditions in the provisor of the said receipted Deed contained until the first day of December seventeen hundred and twenty five Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Alexander Adair and Christian his wife for and in consideration of the prmisses have Granted Bargained Sold and Confirmed And by these pressents do Grant Bargain Sell and Confirmed unto the said Samuel Chew the said parcell of Land called upper Bennett containing four hundred acres and upwards together with all Building Improvements profits comodities advantages & appurtences thereunto belonging To Have and to hold to him the said Samuel Chew his heirs and assigns for ever and the said Alexander and Christian his wife for themselves their heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs Covenant Grant and Agree to and with the said Samuel Chew his heirs and assigns by these prsents that they the said Alexander and Christian his wife have or one of them hath a good sure and indefeazable Estate of Inheritance of in and two the prmisses and every part and parcel thereof the surplus contained within the bound thereof only excepted and have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same and that the same Land and premisses with the appurtenances and every part & parcel thereof is free and clear from all manner of Incumbrances whatsoever done committed or suffered by the said Alexander or Christian his wife or any other person by their means or procurem.t And that the same Land & Premisses and every part & parcel thereof (Except as before Excepted) shall be by these p.rsents sufficiently warranted & defended to the (said) |
