(82)      I do hereby certifie that the above named Joseph Belt and Thomas
             Sprigg Gent before whome the above acknowledgiment was taken then
             was and now are justices within the County of Prince Georges
             legally authorized and assigned In Testimony whereof the seate
             of the s.d County Court is hereto affixed this thirtyeth day of
             Aprill in the tenth year of his Lordships Dominion & Anno Dom 1725

  Ex.d   This Indenture made the seventeenth day of February
             Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and twenty four Between
             Alexander Adair and Christian his wife daughter and sole heir of
             Thomas Sterling late of Calvert County in the province of Maryland
             of the one part and Samuel Chew of Ann Arundell County
             in the province af.d of the other part Whereas the s.d Alexander
             Adair and Christian his wife by their Deed of Bargain and Sale
             bearing date the Fifteenth day of Aprill Seventeen hundred and
             Twenty four the consideration therein menconed sold and conveyed
             a parcell of Land lying in Calvert County called upper Bennett
             containing four hundred acres and upwards with a provisor
             in the same Deed that it should be voyd upon the s.d Alexander
             his performance of the conditions and payment in the same Deed
             Deed expressed by the first day of December last part as by the
             same Deed recorded in the secretarys office relacon being thereunto
             had more at large appears And Whereas part of the s.d Land in
             supposed to be surplus and to belong tot he Right Honble the
             Lord Proprietary to the preemption wher.l one Benj.a Brasheers of
             Prince Georges County claimed ay right as Heir at Law of the
             originall patentee which claim the said Samuel Chew hath
             purchased for the benefit and avail of the said Alexander
             Adair and Christian his wife and hath undertakenng to
             satisfie and pay the the contion and arrears of Rent for the
             said surplus to his Lordship at the instance and request of the
             said Alexander Adair Christian together with all the charges
             of obtaining a Grant thereof in the usall form and that
