day of august in y.e year of our Lord God Annoqui Dom One thousand seven houndred twenty & four & in the tenth year of the Reigne of our sovereigne Lord George by the grace of God of Great Britton France & Ir^e^land King Definder of the faith and Between William Vines of the parish of Overworton & County of Stafford in y.e Collony & Dominion of Wirginia of the one part and John Todd of the same parish county & collony of y.e other part Wittnesseath that the aforesd William Vines Else of Baltemore County & provinces of Maryland for & in Consideration of y.e summ of seven thousand pounds of good tob.o in Caskque to him all ready in hand paid by him y.e s.d Jn.o Todd or secured to be paid and for divers others good & Considerations him the said William Vines There unto Especially moveing hath Given granted Bargained and sould allined Enffeofed & Confirmed & by these presents doth for himself his heirs Exctrs Adm.rs or assigns doth give grant Bargin allien Enffeofe & Confirmed unto y.e s.d John Todd His heires Extrs or assignes for Ever a Certain peice or parcel of Land lying & being scituated in Baltemore County in the province of Maryland Commonly Called or known by the name of Vines Chance lying in Baltemore Baltemore County above Elk Ridge one y.e branches of Putexent River in the woods begining at a bounded White oake a blase oake & a poplar standing by a Run Called Ridgelyes Run on y.e south side of y.e s.d run & runes thence south west & by south thirty six perches to a bounded black oake then south south south East two Houndred perches then south east & by east two Hundred & ten perches then north east & by north seventy four parches to y.e afs.d run then w.th y.e s.d Run by a streight Line to y.e first tree Containing & laid out for two houndred acres of Land more or Less according to certificate of survey thereof taken & Returned unto our Land office bearing Date the fifth day of august One thousand seven houndred & six & There remaining together w.th all Right profits and Benefits & previllidges thereunto beloinging or in any wise appeartaining unto him the said John Todd his heires or assigns for ever more to be houlden of y.e Cheif Lord or Lords of the fee of Fees by y.e Rents & servisces due & accustomed to & with to be paid and the said William Vines doth for himself his heires Covenant & agreement to & with y.e s.d John Todd his Heires or assignes that the before Granted premises with their & Every of their appurtenaces are free & clare & shall & will at all times & for ever hereafter are Warrant & defend y.e same from me & from my heires or assignes or from under any |
