(466)    by Virtue of the above Power of Attorney to him
             Given acknowledged the within Deed to be the Act and
             Deed of the within Named Nathan Pumphrey & Mary
             Pumphrey and the one halfe or Moiety of the Land
             and premisses therein Mencond to be the right & Estate
             the within Named James Crouch his heirs and assigns
             for ever according to the true intent and meaning
             of the Within Deed And the Act of Assembly
             of this Province in such Cases made & provided

       x.d This Indenture made the Twenty Eighth day of September
             Anno Domini seventeen hundred and Thirty
             Between John Arnold of Baltemore County Planter
             son and heir of Anthony Arnold late of the same Coty
             planter Deceased of the one part and Charles Carroll
             of Annapolis Chyrurgeon of the other part Witnesseth
             that the said John Arnold as well for and in Consideration
             of fifteen pounds Current Money of Maryland
             to him in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll the
             Receipt whereof the said John Doth hereby acknowledge
             and the said Charles thereof and therefrom doth acquit
             and Discharge as for Divers other Good Considerations
             him thereunto Moveing Hath Bargained sold released
             and Confirmed And by these Presents doth Bargain sell            
             release and Confirm unto the said Charles ^Carroll^ all the
             right Title Estate Intrest Claim and Demand of him
             the said John Arnold of in and to a Certain Tract of Land
             Lying in Baltemore ^County^ Called Black Walnut Neck Containing
             one hundred acres with all Buildings Improvements and
             Appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to
             Hold to him the said Charles Carroll his heirs & assigns that he
             and they shall and may for Ever hereafter peaceably
             Have hold and Enjoy all and singular the premisses
             free and Clear and freely and Clearly acquitted and
             and Discharged from all incumberances whatsoever
