(464) x.d This Indenture made this 15.th day of
October in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Thirty Between Nathan Pumphery of the County of Goochland in the Coloney of Virginia Joyner of the one part And James Crouch of Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Nathan Pumphrey for and in Consideration of the sume of sixteen pounds Current Money to him in hand paid the recept whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath Bargained and sold unto the said James Crouch the one half or Moiety of a Tract of Land Known by the Name of Aurillas Garden Lying in Baltemore County in the Province of Maryland on the North side of the Great Falls of Gunpowder River the said Half or Moiety of the said Tract of Land to begin at a Bounded poplar and Two Bounded White Oaks and running thence south Forty Eight Degrees West Ninety Two perches then South seventy Degrees West twenty six perches then South Twenty five Degrees West one hundred and ninety four perches then South Eighty Degrees east Two hundred and sixty two perches then South one hundred perches then North Eighty five Degrees West one hundred and thirty six perches then to the first Bounded trees the same to Contain one hundred and Fifty acres of Land with all improvements Woods & under Woods and appurtenances thereto belonging To Have and to hold the abovesaid Bargained Land with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said James Crouch his heirs and assigns for Ever And the said Nathan to and with the said James Crouch his heirs and assigns to Warrant and Defend the said Land from all manner of person or persons Claiming or to Claim any right Title or interest of in or unto the said Land or any part or parcell thereof by from or under him his heirs or assignes for ever but from no other person And that it shall and may be Lawfull for the said James Crouch his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns to use Occupy and Quietly posses the said Moiety of Land before Mentioned without any Let hinderance or Molestation of him the said Nathan Pumphrey his heirs or assignes for ever In Witness Whereof the said Nathan Pumphrey hath put his hand and seale the Day and year above Written Signed & Sealed in the presence of his Mathew Pumphrey seale Ambross A Nellson her his mark Mary M Pumphrey seale John IΛ Nellson mark mark |
