(443) x.d This Indenture made the Twelfth day of June in the third year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c Annoq Dom One Thousand seven Hundred and Twenty Nine Between William Beckingham of London Town near Annapolis in Maryland in America Gentleman of the One part & Thomas Hockenhall of the City of London in the Kingdom of England Gentleman of the Other Part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sume Twelve Pounds Twelve Shillings of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to the said William Beckingham in hand well and truly paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents by the Said Thomas Hockenhall the Receipt whereof the Said William Beckingham doth hereby acknowledge and thereof & of every part thereof doth acquit Release and Discharge the said Thomas Hockenhall his heirs Executors Adm.rs and assigns for ever By these Presents He the said Will.m Beckingham Hath Granted Aliened Bargained Sold Enfeoffed Released & Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant Alien Bargain Sell Enfeoff Release and Confirm to the said Thomas Hockenhall in his Actuall possession Now being by Virtue of a Bargain and Sale thereof to him made by Anne Beckingham bearing date the Twentieth day of June One Thousand Seven hundred and Twenty One for the Term of sixty One Years if the said Anne Beckingham so long lives All those Two Shopps scituate Lying and being in the Town and County of Hertford on the Ware River of Hertford aforesaid and all other the Premisses with the appurtenances thereto belonging which said shops and premisses were lately Devised and Given to Anne Beckingham for and during the terme of her Naturall Life in and by the Last Will and Testament of Mary Devall of the Town and County ^of Hertford^ aforesaid deceased and after the decease of the said Anne Beckingham she the said Mary Devall Gave and Devised the said shops and premisses to the said William Beckingham and to his heirs and assigns for Ever And the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents Issues & Profitts of all and singular the premisses Mencond to be hereby Granted and Released and all y.e Estate (right) |
