(296)     them had more fully and at Large appears Both which Tracts of
             Land lying in Calvert County aforesaid & one the Dwelling
             place of the said Thomas Lingan together with all & singular
             the Improvements Buildings Orchards Conveniencyes Benefitts
             and Advantages whatsoever to the aforesaid Two Tracts of
             Land or either of them Belonging or in any manner of
             way appertaining To the Only use and behoofe of him the
             said James his heirs and assigns and to no other use Intent
             Construction or purpose whatsoever To have & To hold
             the aforesaid Two Tracts of Land Called Batchelors Quarter
             and Lingans Adventure Both Containing One Thousand
             Three hundred and Fifty six Acres together with all and
             singular the Improvements Conveniencyes & Advantages
             to the said Lands or either of them belonging unto him
             the said James Carroll his heirs and assignes for Ever
             And the said Charles Carroll Doth for himself his heirs
             Executors & Administrators Covenant promise and agree to
             and with the said James Carroll his heirs & assignes
             that he the said Charles his heirs Executors and Administrators
             the aforesaid Tract of Land Called Batchelors Quarter against
             him the said Charles and all manner of Persons Lawfully
             Claiming or to Claime from by or under him shall & will
             for ever hereafter Warrant and Defend And the said Thomas
             Lingan party to these presents for himself his heirs Ex.rs
             & Administrators and for every of them doth by these
             presents Covenant promise Grant & Agree to & with the
             said James Carroll his heirs and assignes in manner and
             form following (that is to say) that he the said Tho Lingan
             and his heirs Executors & Administrators the aforesaid Lands
             Called Batchelors Quarter & Lingans Adventure and other
             the premisses with the appurtenances hereby bargained
             and sold and every part & parcell thereof unto the said
             James Carroll his heirs and assignes against the said Thomas
             Lingan & his heirs and all and Every other person or persons whatsoever
             shall & will for Ever hereafter Warrant & by these
             presents Defend And also that he the said Thomas Lingan
             at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery hereof hath in himself
             good Right full power and Lawfull and absolute authority
             to Grant Bargain and sell the af.d Two Tracts of
                                                                (Land)
