(295) x.d  This Indenture made the Eleventh Day of July in the
                Year of Our Lord God One Thousand seven hundred & Twenty Eight
                Between Thomas Lingan near Halls Creek in Calvert County
                Gentleman and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of
                the one part And James Carroll of Allhollows Parish in Ann
                Arundell County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth
                that the said Thomas & Charles for & in Consideration of y.e sume
                of One hundred & sixty five pounds nine shillings and ten pences
                half penny to him the said Charles in hand paid And also
                of Two hundred seventy five pounds and three pence to him y.e
                said Thomas in hand paid y.e Reicp.t of which severall sumes amounting
                in the whole to four hundred & Forty pounds ten
                shillings and one penny The said CHarles & Thomas do hereby
                acknowledge Have Given Granted Bargained & Sold
                as by these presents they the said Thomas and Charles Doe
                for themselves severally & their heirs severally Give
                Grant bargain sell alien enfeoff Confirm and make over
                unto the said James Carroll his heirs & assigns for ever all
                those two Tracts or parcells of Land the one Called Batchelors
                Quarter Originally as it is said Patented on or about the
                Twenty sixth day of September One Thousand six hundred &
                sixty five for & in the Names of George Lingan & Rich.d
                Gardiner which George was Father of Thomas one of the
                partyes to these presents which said Tract of Batchelors Quarter
                was afterwards Resurveyed and found to Contain about one
                Thousand and forty six acres as in & by the patents on the
                Originall survey and the patent on the Resurvey more fully
                appears the other Tract Called Lingans Adventure & adjoyning
                to or near the former Tract on the East side of Patuxent River
                and on the south side of Lands Creek otherwise Halls Creek
                Containing as by the Certificate thereof bearing Date on or
                about the third Day of August One Thousand six hundred and
                seventy seven as also by his Lordships Letters Patent thereof to
                George Lingan bearing Date on or about the Twenty sixth
                of Aprill Anno Dom One Thousand six hundred & Eighty Two
                Three hundred and Ten Acres of Land as in & by y.e originall
                certificates & patents afore Mentioned relation being to
                                                                                     (them)
