(279)    Assigns that he and they shall and may from time to time and
             at all times hereafter pecably have hold possess and Enjoy the
             said Three Tracts of Land and premisses with y.e appurtenances
             without any Charge or Incumbrance whatsoever Except as before
             Excepted and the Rents hereafter to grow due to the Lord
             Proprietary to his and their proper use and behoofe and
             to no other use Meaning or Intent whatsoever and the said
             Joshua George for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators
             Doth further Covenant Grant and Agree to & with the
             said Charles Carroll his heirs Executors Administrators and
             Assigns that he the said Joshua George and his heirs shall and
             will from time to time and at all times hereafter warrant
             and Defend the aforesaid Three Tracts of Land by the meets 
             and Bounds aforesaid herein before mentiond with the
             appurtenances herein before Granted bargained and Sold
             (Except as before Excepted) from and against all Manner
             of Pearsons and Claims or Demands whatsoever unto &
             to the use of the said Charles Carroll his heirs and assigns
             for Ever & the said Joshua George doth hereby further
             Covenant to do and Execute any other or further act or
             Acts at the proper cost and Charge of the said of the said
             Charles Carroll his heirs & assigns that shall be necessary
             for the further and more firm and secure Conveyance
             of the premisses and that shall reasonably be advised devised
             or Required by the said Charles Carroll his heirs
             or Assigns or his or their Councill Learned in y.e Land within
             seven years from the date hereof in Witness whereof
             and the foregoing premisses the said Joshua George hath
             hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year
             first above Written
