(148)     standing on the south side of a Draught of a branch close by y.e side
             of the said Draught and in or near the West Line of Ann Arundell
             Manner which is extended from Burrages Land and runing thence
             North one hundred perches thence East Thirty perches thence North
             East Thirty perches then East Seventy Two perches thence North
             Thirty six perches then East One hundred and seventeen perches then
             South One hundred and Fifty Seven perches thence West to the first bound
             Tree Containing and laid out for Two hundred and four acres of Land
             more or less according to the Certificate of Survey thereof taken and
             returned into the Land Office of the said Charles Lord Baltemore
             bearing Date the Twenty fourth Day of December One thousand
             six hundred Twenty three & there remaining Together w.th all
             Messuages and Buildings thereupon Erected or to be Erected and
             all rights profits Benefits and priviledges thereunto belonging
             Royal Mines Excepted To have and to hold the same (Except
             before Excepted) unto him the said Gerrard Hopkins his heirs and
             Assignes forever To be holden of us the said Charles Lord Baltemore
             and our Heirs as of our Mannor of Ann Arundell in free and common
             soccage by fealty only for all manner of services yeilding and
             paying therefore yearly unto us the said Charles Lord Baltemore
             and our Heirs at our Receipt at the City of S.t Marys at the two most
             usuall Feasts in the year (viz.t) the Feast of S.t Michael the Archangel
             and the Annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary by even and equal
             portions the rent of Eight shillings One penny Three farthings
             sterling in Silver or Gold and for a fine upon every alination of
             the said Land or any part or parcell thereof one whole years rent
             in Silver or Gold or the full value thereof in such Comodities as we
             the said Lord Baltemore and our Heirs or such Officer or Officers
             as shall be appointed by us and our heirs from time to time to
             collect and receive the same shall accept in discharge thereof
             at the Choice of us and our heirs or such Officer or Officers
             as af.d provided that if the said sum for a fine
             for Allination shall not be paid to us and our Heirs
