(118)    The Appurtenances unto him the said Samuel Peele his heirs and
             assignes from and against him the said Henry Bateman and his
             heirs and from and against all other persons whatsoever Lawfully
             cla^i^ming or to claime any Estate right Title Interest property Claime or
             Demand whatsoever of in or unto the af.d Land and premisses or of in
             or unto any part or parcell thereof shall and will Warrant and
             for ever hereafter Defend by these presents And further that he y.e
             said Henry and his heirs shall and will and at any time hereafter
             at the reasonable request Cost and Charges in the Law of him the said
             Samuel or his heirs or assignes ^make^ doe acknowledge suffer and Execute or
             Cause to be sd done or suffered all and every such further and other
             reasonable Act or Acts Thing or things Devices Conveyances or
             Assurances and suremaking of all and singular the hereby Granted
             premisses unto him the said Samuel Peele his heirs or Assignes as by him
             the said Samuel his heirs or assignes or by his or their counsel Learned in
             the Law shall be reasonably advised devised or required according to
             the true intent and meaning of the parties to these presents In
             Wittnesse whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably
             set their hands and affixed their seales the day & year first
             above written

             Sined Sealed and Delivered
                                                          Henry H Bateman seal his mark
             in the Presence of
             Robert Peele                     On the foregoing Deed was Endorst Viz.t
             Will.m Pearce                    The within mentioned Henry Bateman acknowledged
             the within Insturment ^Instruement^ as his Act and Deed According to Act of
             Assembly and also Mehetebel the wife of the said Henry Bateman
             acknowledges the same instrument as her Act and Deed and the
             said Me^he^tebel being secretly examined out of the hearing of her
             said husband acknowledges the same And that she does the same
             willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fears
             or there ^threats^ of or ill usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure
             According to Act of Assembly in that Case made before me
             subscribers one his Lordships Justices of the Provinciall Court
