1958 MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
Whereas, from the provisions of Section 19 (b), of Article 23 (a) of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition, as amended, it is manda-
tory that the following resolution be introduced.
Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Town Council of
Gaithersburg, that a new section to the Charter of the Town of Gaithers-
burg, be added. Said new section to be known as Section cc to follow
immediately after Section bb thereof, to provide for the enlargement of
the corporate boundaries of the Town of Gaithersburg, by including the
following area, which is added to the Town of Gaithersburg:
Beginning for the same at a point on the south right of way line of
the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, said point being the northwesterly
corner of the lands of A. I. Devlin, et al, as conveyed by deed recorded in
Liber 2565 at Folio 589 and Liber 3060 at Folio 56 among the Land
Records of Montgomery County, Maryland; said point being also the
northernmost limits of the Town of Gaithersburg along said Railroad;
and running thence binding on the southerly side of said Railroad, north-
westerly 2,100 feet, more or less; thence northeasterly 25 feet, more or
less; thence northwesterly 800 feet, more or less; thence crossing said
Railroad, northeasterly 156 feet, more or less, to the northerly side of said
Railroad; thence leaving said Railroad and with the land of Virginia K.
Casey (formerly the land of J. H. Wade and F. Ramsdell); northeasterly
264 feet, more or less; thence northeasterly 249 feet, more or less; thence
easterly 743 feet, more or less; thence with the division line between the
lands of said Virginia K. Casey and the lands of W. R. Caulfield, et al, as
recorded in Will Book V.M.B. 134 at Folio 455, southeasterly 495 feet,
more or less; thence still with the lines of said Caulfield and Casey,
northeasterly 1,987 feet, more or less, thence northeasterly 361 feet, more
or less, to the southwesterly side of Route 70-S; thence crossing said
Route 70-S, northeasterly 250 feet, more or less, to the northeasterly side
thereof; thence binding on the division lines between said Caulfield and
Casey properties, northeasterly 789 feet, more or less; thence north-
westerly 191 feet, more or less; thence northwesterly 961 feet, more
or less, to the southeasterly side of the Potomac Electric Power Company
Right of Way; thence crossing said right of way, northwesterly 250 feet,
more or less to the northwesterly side thereof; thence binding on the
division lines between the said Caulfield and Casey properties, north-
westerly 262 feet, more or less; thence with the division line between the
lands of said W. R. Caulfield, et al, recorded in Liber 1478 at Folio 267 and
the lands of said Virginia K. Casey, northeasterly 639 feet, more or less,
to the southwesterly side of Maryland Route 355; thence with the south-
westerly side thereof, southeasterly 280 feet, more or less, to the north-
westerly side of said Potomac Electric Power Company Right of Way;
thence still with said Route 355 and crossing said Po |
