GAITHERSBURG                                          1959

Town of Gaithersburg, southwesterly 720 feet, more or less; thence
still with the lines of said Virginia K. Casey, southwesterly 680 feet, more
or less; thence northwesterly 148.8 feet; thence southwesterly 300 feet;
more or less, to the northeasterly side of the aforesaid Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad; thence crossing said Railroad, southwesterly 125 feet, more or
less, to the southwesterly side thereof; thence with the southwesterly side
of said Railroad and with the Corporate Limits of the Town of Gaithers-
burg, northwesterly 960 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, con-
taining 198 acres of land.

Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Town
Council of Gaithersburg, the date of the introduction of this Resolution
is the 4th day of December, 1967, and will become effective on the 31st
day of May 1968, unless a prompt petition for referendum thereon shall be
filed as permitted by law, and provided further that the notice required
by law shall be published in the Gaithersburg Gazette, being a newspaper
of general circulation in the Town of Gaithersburg, one each in the weeks
of December 14, 21 and 28 and January 4, 1968. Said notice to provide for a
public hearing to be held on January 29, 1968 at 8:00 p.m. in the Office of
the Mayor and Town Council, Civic Center, Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Section 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Town
Council of Gaithersburg, that as soon as the Resolution hereby enacted
shall become effective either as herein provided, or the following of a
referendum, the Mayor shall promptly register both the original bound-
aries and the new boundaries with the Clerk of the Town or similar
official thereof, with the Commissioner of the Land Office, with the Circuit
Court for Montgomery County, and with the Director of the Department
of Legislative Reference.

Section 4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Town
Council of Gaithersburg, and the persons residing therein, if any, shall,
after the effective date of this Resolution, be subject to all the laws,
ordinances and resolutions of the Town of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

The foregoing Resolution was passed at a meeting of the Mayor and
Town Council of Gaithersburg, held on the 15th day of April 1968, at
which time the Mayor and a quorum of Councilmen were present and
voted throughout: 5 Councilmen voting in the affirmative; 0 Councilmen
voting in the negative, and the said Resolution became effective in accord-
ance with the law, the 31st day of May 1968.
