1952 MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
Being part of a tract of land conveyed to Harry Koenick, Sarah B.
Cohen and Allen M. Rice by deed recorded among the Land Records of
Montgomery County, Maryland in Liber 3462 at Folio 136 and being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning for the same at the present corporate limit of the Town of
Gaithersburg, said point being at the intersection of Fields Road and
Muddy Branch Road; thence running with said corporate limits as resur-
veyed and with bearings referred to the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission meridian;
1. N 89 d. 31' 35" W—2088.88 feet; thence
2. S 01 d. 27' 46" E—878.31 feet; thence
3. S 57 d. 23' 37" E—1943.05 feet to a point on the west line of
Muddy Branch Road as relocated, as shown by Dedication Plats Nos. 3 and
4 of the Montgomery County Department of Public Works; thence with
the west line of said road
4. N 17 d. 29' 07" E—1326.69 feet to a point on the 6th line of said
tract, 299.42 feet from the beginning thereof; thence with the remainder
of said 6th line and the 7th line
5. N 8 d. 49' 29" E—414.90 feet; thence
6. N 8 d. 00' 31" W—234.70 feet to the beginning, containing 64.8674
acres.
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Town
Council of Gaithersburg, the date of the introduction of this Resolution
is the 6th day of February, 1967, and shall become effective on the 21st day
of December, 1967, unless a prompt petition for referendum thereon shall
be filed as permitted by law, and provided further that the notice required
by law shall be published in the Montgomery County Sentinel, being a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Gaithersburg, one each
in the weeks of February 16, 23 and March 2 and 9, 1967. Said notice to
provide for a public hearing to be held on the 3rd day of April, 1967 at
8:00 P.M. in the Office of the Mayor and Town Council, Civic Center,
Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Section 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Town
Council of Gaithersburg, that as soon as the Resolution hereby enacted
shall become effective either as herein provided, or following a referendum,
the Mayor shall promptly register both the original boundaries and the
new boundaries with the Clerk of the Town or similar official thereof,
with the Commissioner of the Land Office, with the Circuit Court of Mont-
gomery County, and with the Director of the Department of Legislative
Reference.
Section 4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Town
Council of Gaithersburg, and the persons residing therein, if any, shall,
after the effective date of this Resolution, be subject to all the laws,
ordinances and resolutions of the Town of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The foregoing Resolution was passed at a meeting of the Mayor and
Town Council of Gaithersburg, held on the 6th day of November, 1967,
at which time the Mayor and a quorum of Councilmen were present and
