165C.

(c) Prior to the preparation of definitive bonds, said board of
trustees may, under like restrictions, issue interim receipts or tem-
porary bonds, with or without coupons, exchangeable for definitive
bonds when such bonds shall have been executed and are available
for delivery. Said board of trustees may also provide for the replace-
ment of any bonds which shall become mutilated or shall be de-
stroyed or lost.

At any one time, under the provisions of these Sections 165A-
165J, inclusive, there shall not be issued an outstanding maximum
amount of bonds and refunding bonds which in the aggregate exceeds
the sum of [two million ($2,000,000)3 six million ($6,000,000)
dollars.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 242
(Senate Bill 425)

AN ACT to add new Sections 166A to 166K, inclusive, to Article 77
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume),
title "Public Education", to follow immediately after Section 165J
thereof and to be under the new subtitle "Student Union Building
at Towson", authorizing the Board of Trustees of the State Col-
leges to construct, equip, maintain and operate a student union
building at Towson State College, authorizing the said Board of
Trustees to impose fees, rents and charges for the use thereof,
and authorizing the said Board of Trustees to issue revenue bonds
to pay the cost of all or any part of such project, the principal
thereof and the interest thereon to be payable solely from the fees,
rents and charges for the use of the said student union building
except for interest prior to, during and for one year after com-
pletion of construction, providing that interest during such period
may be paid out of bonds proceeds and/or out of such other moneys
as may be allocated for such purpose, and providing that the said
bonds in no way be the debt or obligation of the State of Maryland
or any subdivision thereof, except said Board of Trustees, and ex-
empting said bonds from taxation, and relating generally to a
student union building at Towson State College and the issuance
of revenue bonds to pay the cost of all or any part of the same.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 166A to 166K, inclusive, be and the same hereby are
added to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Re-
placement Volume), title "Public Education", to follow immediately
after Section 165J thereof, to be under the new subtitle "Student
Union Building at Towson", and to read as follows:
