land Esq^r of the one part and Charles Baker of Kent County in the
said Robert Smith for and in consideration of the sum of ffive Thousand
paid or otherwayes secured to be paid by the said Charles Baker at and
of he the said Robert doth hereby acknowledge & confess And thereof
Exonerate Acquitt & discharge the s^d Charles Baker his Heires Ex^rs
and for other divers good Causes & Considerations him the s^d Robert
aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and in and by these p^rsents doth fully
and Confirme unto the s^d Charles Baker his Heires and assignes forever
commonly Knowne by the name of Adventure Lyeing & being in
Sewalls Branch and a Branch called Andover branch beginning
and standing near Sewalls branch & running thence south & by
Hundred perches Then north & by west One Hundred & Sixty perches
One Hundred Acres To have and to hold the aforesd Tract
houses gardens & orchards and all other the appurtenances thereunto
his Heires & assignes for ever free & cleare and freely & Clearely
former Claimes. gifts grants sales Leases or forfetures whatso
payable to the Chiefe Lord or Lords of the ffee or ffees Only
himselfe & his Heires Covenant grant & agree to & with the s^d
of them by these p^rsents That the afore menconed p^rmises
free & cleare from all Incumbrances whatsoever; and
Heires to save defend and keep harmless the s^d Charles Baker his Heires
warrant & defend And doe by these p^rsents forever quitt Claime freely
whatsoever he now hath or might of right have by any wayes or meanes
Charles Baker his Heires & assignes for ever and to his & their only proper
Heires doth further Covenant & agree to & w^th the s^d Charles Baker his Heires

or their Councill Learned in y^e Law shall reasonably Advise devise or
Indentures have Interchangeably sett their hands and seals the Day and
