Moore, a free negro of said county may be allowed to hold
real estate and devise the same by last will and testament;

Which was referred to the committee on Colored Popula-
tion.

Mr. Clarke presented a petition from James B. Adams and
forty-one other citizens of Talbot county, praying for a uni-
form system in the city of Baltimore for the measurement and
weighing of grain;

Which was referred to the committee on Agriculture.

Mr. Clark presented a petition from C. S. Chase and forty-
eight other citizens of Talbot county, praying for a uniform
system, in the city of Baltimore, for the measurement and
weighing of grain;

Which was referred to the committee on Agriculture.

Mr. Thruston presented a petition from Thomas Paxton and
twenty-five other citizens of Allegany county, praying a
speedy adjustment of the boundary line between Maryland
and Virginia;

mary schools in Howard county;

Which was referred to the Howard county delegation.

Mr. Goldsborough presented a petition from Nicholas Rice
and sundry other citizens of Talbot county, in relation to ap-
propriation of money to works of internal improvement on the
Eastern Shore, and especially to the Maryland and Delaware
Railroad Company;

Which was referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Goldsborough presented a petition from Matthias Mer-
rick and 88 other citizens of Talbot county, in reference to
the appropriation to works of internal improvements on the
Eastern Shore of Maryland;
