326             JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 11,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,
The House adjourned.

THURSDAY, Feb. 11th, 1858.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by Rev. Mr.
Graff.

Present, at the call of the roll, the following members :
Messrs. Berry, Speaker, Neale, Wickes, Tongue, Mackubin,
Kilbourn, Griffiss, Magruder, Burgess, Stonestreet, Walker,
Ford, of Baltimore county, Lynch, of Baltimore county,
Smith, of Baltimore county, Clarke, Goldsborough, Waller,
Moore, Sudler, of Somerset, Tilghman, Dail, Richardson,
Grieves, Davis, Ford of Cecil, Kidd, Wyville, Contee, Lar-
rimore, Landing, Harding, Bowlus, Root, Koons, Hobbs,
Hanway, Bacon, Baker, Todd, McGonigal, Stirling, Rogers,
McPherson, Smith, of Baltimore city, Kennard, Lynch, of
Baltimore city, Harrington, Crowley, Forrest, Alexander,
Rohrer, Summers, Duvall, Worthington, Thruston, Kilgour,
Mountz, McKinstry, Day and Dorsey.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.

Mr. McPherson presented a petition from sundry citizens
of Baltimore county, asking for the opening of, and condem-
nation of Fayette street, from the city limits in Baltimore
county, west to Garrison Forest road;

Which was read and referred to the committee on Roads
and Highways.

Mr. Stonestreet presented a petition from Benjamin W. B.
McPherson and others, for the relief of Ann E. H. Ferrall;

Which was referred to the Charles county delegation.

Mr. Forrest presented a petition from the Junior Artillerists
of Baltimore, praying to be allowed to receive a limited num-
ber of honorary members, who shall be exempt from service;

Which was referred to the Baltimore city delegation.

Mr. Clarke presented a petition from Wm. Townsend and
sundry other citizens of Talbot county, praying that Andrew
