By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 154, entitled "An Act to
require every corporation incorporated by or under the laws
of the State of Maryland, whether the same be a railroad
corporation, industrial corporation, savings bank, trust com-
pany, national bank or any other corporation maintaining its
office in the State of Maryland, having in its possession any
shares of stock, bonds, deposits, credits or property of any
kind, the owner of which is unknown or the whereabouts of
such owner is unknown, and has been for a period of seven
years, to report to the Comptroller of the State a detailed
account of the same and to authorize and require a transfer
of the same to the Comptroller as a trust fund. " [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 155, entitled "An Act to
add a new section to Article 81 of the Public General Laws
of Maryland, title 'Revenue and Taxes, ' to be known as Sec-
tion 214-A, providing for the valuation and assessment of
railroad stocks and bonds upon which no interest or dividend
is paid. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the. '
Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Archer: Senate Bill No. 156, entitled "An Act to
add a new section to Article 91 of Bagby's Annotated Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title ' Survey or and
State Survey, ' sub-title 'Public Roads, ' to follow immediately
after Section 37 of said Article 91, to be known as Section
37-A. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Roads and Highways. ]

SECTION 4. And be it further enacted, That as this Act 4s
one of emergency and necessary for the immediate preserva-
