two, and recorded in liber W. G., No. 217, fo-
lio, 226, one of the land records of said county,
convey a certain parcel of land, lying in said
county, containing two acres, more or less, and
in said deed particularly described, to Joseph W.
Patterson, Benjamin Buck, Zachariah Rhodes
and James Tucker, and their successors, in trust
for the use of a school and place of worship; And
whereas, the said property can no longer with
any advantage be specifically used for the pur-
pose for which it was so conveyed in trust, and
it hath been made to appear to the General As-
sembly of Maryland, by satisfactory evidence,
that the fair value thereof does not exceed sev-
enty-five dollars; therefore,

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the said Joseph W. Pat-
terson, Zachariah Rhodes and James Tucker, trus-
tees as aforesaid, or any one or more of them, or
any trustee who may be appointed for the purpose
by the Circuit Court for Baltimore county, sitting
as a Court of Equity, are hereby authorised, di-
rected and empowered to convey by a deed, execu-
ted and acknowledged according to law, all the
said parcel of land described in the above men-
tioned or recited deed, from Joseph R. Ford and
wife, to Joseph W. Patterson and others, unto
Peter B. Haley, of Baltimore county and his heirs
in fee simple, clear and discharged of the trust de-
clared in and by the said deed from Joseph R.

Authorised to

Ford and wife; Provided, that the said Peter B.
Haley, shall first pay or cause to be paid to the
School Commissioners of Baltimore county, or
their treasurer, or to the order of the said School
Commissioners of Baltimore county, the sum of
seventy-five dollars.

Proviso.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said sum of
money when paid as aforesaid, shall be disbursed
and employed by the said School Commissioners
of Baltimore county, in their discretion, for the
support of public education in said county.
