CHAPTER 395.

Passed March

9, 1858.

AN ACT to lay off a new Primary School District
in Anne Arundel county, to be styled "School
District, Number Fifty-two," to authorise the
election of Trustees therefor, and the erection
of a School House therein.

New Primary
School District
erected.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That a part of Primary School
Districts, Number Twenty-one and Twenty-four,
embraced within the lines hereafter described,
shall be, and is hereby created and constituted a
new primary school district, to wit: beginning for
the same at the junction of the Washington Branch
of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, with Deep
Run on the Howard county line; running thence
with a straight line to Black Branch; thence with
said Branch or Run to its source; thence with a
straight line to the head of Stony Run; thence
with said Run, until it touches the western line of
Vachel A. Ellicott's lands; thence running with,
and bounding on said line, until it intersects the
line of Philip Disney's farm; thence across said
farm to Deep Run; thence to the place of begin-
ning.

pose a tax.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the trustees of
said district, number fifty-two, to be elected at a
genera! meeting of the taxable inhabitants there-
of, shall be, and arc hereby authorised to impose
a tax on the property holders within said district,
for the purpose of erecting a suitable school house,
according to the act of December session, eigh-
teen hundred and twenty, chapter one hundred
and sixty-eight, and the supplements thereto.

privileges.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the inhabit-
ants of said school district shall have and enjoy
all such benefits and privileges as are afforded to
the inhabitants of other primary school districts,
except so far as the same may be inconsistent with
the provisions of this act.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That three trustees
for said district hereby laid off and numbered
fifty-two, shall be elected at a general meeting of
the inhabitants thereof, authorised to vote under
the Constitution of the State, for members of the
