CHAPTER 250.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to change the corporate name, style and
title of the Mechanics' Exchange and Savings
Company, incorporated by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, at January session, eighteen
hundred and fifty-two, chapter three hundred
and six, to that of the Exchange Bank.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the President and Direc-
tors of the Mechanics' Exchange and Savings
Company, shall have power and authority, and
they are hereby empowered and authorised, at
any stated meeting of the board, after the passage
of this act, to adopt the corporate name, style and
title of the Exchange Bank, and thereafter by that
name, style and title, the said Company shall be
called and known, and be entitled to all the rights
and privileges granted by the original act, enti-
tled, an act to incorporate the Mechanics' Exchange
and Savings Company, for the purpose of making
loans, collections of notes and drafts, passed
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-two,
chapter three hundred and six, and the supple-

ments thereto; Provided, that nothing herein
contained shall be construed to release said insti-
tution from any obligations incurred previous to
the passage of this act.

AN ACT to incorporate the Bel-air and Hickory
Turnpike Road Company, in Harford county.
|

bly of Maryland, That a Company be, and the
same is hereby incorporated, to make a turnpike
road on 'the bed of the present county road, lead-
