the said partition set forth in the preamble to this bill is
fair and equitable, to ratify and confirm the same, and
to decree that the lots allotted to each of the children of
said James Calder, by said partition, shall be held in
severally by each of the said children for their respec-
tive lives, and after their several deaths in severally by
those entitled in remainder under said will, the chil-
dren or descendants holding according to the meaning
of said will, the parts allotted to the several parents.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend the charter and change the name
of the Baltimore and Philadelphia Rail Road Com-
pany.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Philadelphia and Baltimore
rail road, and the Philadelphia and Baltimore central
rail road, by such mode as has been or may hereafter
be authorised by any meetings of the stockholders of
said corporations respectively, be and they are hereby
authorised to form a union with each other so that the
said corporations shall be merged in, and constituted
one body corporate, under the name of the Philadel-
phia and Baltimore Central rail road company, upon
such terms and conditions, and under such regulations
as may be specified in the agreement of union, and
that said body corporate so formed, shall be entitled
within this State to all the powers and privileges, and
advantages now belonging to the above named cor-
porations.
