hundred and forty-four, made between Daniel Or-
rick and Ellen his wife, of the one part, and said
William Arnold of the other part; which said deed
has not yet been recorded as required by law; and
whereas, by a deed bearing date on the eighteenth
day of September eighteen hundred and forty-eight,
made between William Arnold and Emma his wife,
of the one part and James Turner of the other part,
and recorded among the land records of Baltimore
county, in liber A. W. B. No. four hundred and
two, folio one hundred and twenty three, which said
deed was not at the time of so being recorded, stamp-
ed as required by law, and is further defective in that
there is no evidence that the judge before whom the
acknowledgment was token was at the time a judge
of a court of law, and of record; and whereas, it is
represented to this General Assembly that since the
execution of said deed, the respective grantors there-
to have departed this life; and whereas, it is also re-
presented that all of said tracts or pieces of land are
embraced in the deeds from the said Arnold and wife
to said James Turner, containing about one hundred
and eleven acres and one-half of an acre of land more
or less situated in Baltimore county; Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a deed bearing dote the second day
of December eighteen hundred and thirty-three, made
between Ann Merryman of the one part, and William
Arnold of the other part, and recorded among the land
records of Baltimore county, in Liber T. K. No. two
hundred and thirty-eight, folio one hundred and eight,
&c., and also a deed bearing date the eighteenth day
of September eighteen hundred and forty eight, made
between William Arnold and Emma his wife, of the
one part, and James Turner of the other part, and re-
corded among the land records of Baltimore county, in
Liber A. W. B. No. four hundred and two, folio one
hundred and twenty-three, &c., be, and the same are
both hereby confirmed and made valid and effectual in
law, to all intents and constructions and purposes what-
soever, as if the certificates of the acknowledgments of
said deeds and the certificates of the identity of the gran-
tors therein, and the other informalities thereof had been
in due form of law.
