An act to make valid a deed from Henry Hann, and Ann
Margaret Hann, of Frederick County, to George Bless-
ing.
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Henry Hann, and Ann Margaret Hann his
wire, of Frederick county, did by deed dated on the twelfth
day of October, eighteen hundred and forty four, execute
a deed to George Blessing, and the justices in taking ac-
knowledgment of said deed, did not certify that the said
Ann Margaret Hann did sign, seal and execute said deed,
out of the presence and hearing of her husband, Henry
Hann, nor did said justices certify the said acknowledg-
ment in the manner directed by the acts of Assembly now
in force—Therefore,

Good and va-
lid.
Proviso.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said deed of conveyance shall be, and the same is
hereby declared to be, good and valid in any court of
law or equity in this State, notwithstanding the defective
acknowledgment aforesaid; provided, nothing in this act
shall be construed to interfere with the rights of judgment
creditors, or bona-fide purchasers without notice.

An act entitled, a supplement to an act entitled, an act to con-
solidate the duties of the Levy Court and Commissioners
of Tax for Montgomery County, and prescribe their du-
ties.

missioners al-
lowed $2 per
day.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sixth section of the act to which this is a supple-
ment, be and the same is hereby so changed and altered, as
to provide that the clerk to said commissioners, shall re-
ceive for his services the sum of two dollars for every day
he may attend upon the said commissioners, instead of the
per diem now allowed him, and such additional and reason-
able compensation for official duties performed on other
days as may be allowed by said commissioners.
