Ambulance and Rescue Service," so that the voters shall be
able to designate his or her decision for or against said
Ambulance and Rescue Service. If a majority of the votes
cast on said question shall be "For Ambulance and Rescue
Service", then this Act shall become immediately effective.
If a majority of the votes cast on said question shall be
"Against Ambulance and Rescue Service", then this Act
shall be null and void and of no effect whatsoever.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 373
(House Bill 648)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Roads", sub-heading "Beverly Beach Roads and Taxing
District", said new section to be known as Section 478A
and to follow immediately after Section 478 of said Code,
relating to the acquisition of additional wharves and
parking areas adjoining the said District.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added
to the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County
(1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Roads", sub-heading "Beverly
Beach Roads and Taxing District", said new section to be
known as Section 478A and to follow immediately after
Section 478 of said Code and to read as follows:

478A. In addition to the purposes set forth in Section
478 hereof, the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County are authorized and empowered to expend the pro-
ceeds of the Beverly Beach Wharf Tax, levied under the
