CHAP. 290.
|
and Arthur Bell, being a majority of the commissioners
authorised by Dorchester county court, to sell the real es-
tate of John Craig, of said county, be and they or a ma-
jority of them, or the survivors or survivor of them, are
hereby authorised to execute a deed of conveyance unto
Brice J. Goldsborough, his heirs and assigns, or to any
one whom he may appoint to receive the same, for all that
parcel of land, which was purchased by William Sped-
den, at the sale of the real estate of the said John Craig;

Proviso.
|
provided, that the said commissioners or commissioner
executing the same, shall be satisfied that the whole of
the purchase money was paid by the said William Sped-
den, and that the said Brice J. Goldsborough hath since
purchased all the right and title of the said William Sped-
den, in and to said land and premises.

An act to build a Bridge over Swanson's Creek, a dividing
line of diaries and Prince George's Counties, at or near
McPherson's Mill.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly
by citizens of Charles, near Prince George's counties, that
the fording place, where the public road crosses Swanson's
creek, a dividing line of said counties, at or near McPher-
son's mill, is deepning and of difficult passage— there-

bridge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy courts of Charles and Prince
George's counties, if they, in their discretion, shall deem
it expedient, be and they are hereby authorised to levy
each an equal sum, not to exceed in the whole amount
the sum of six hundred dollars, for the purpose of build-
ing a bridge over said creek, where the public toad crosses
at or near McPherson's mill, and making the necessary
causeways to the same.

Commissioners
to contract for
building bridge.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That Peter Wood and
Samuel C. Moran, of Charles county, and William R.
Barker and Thomas B. Hall, of Prince George's county,
be and they are hereby appointed commissioners to con-
tract for and superintend the building of said bridge, and
making the necessary causeways thereto, if in the opinion
of said commissioners, any causeway is necessary.
