United States, at the time when his claim to such proper-
ty originated.

An act for the benefit of the Children of James Power, of
the City of Baltimore.
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, by the last will and testament of James
Power, deceased, dated the ninth day of July, eighteen
hundred and twenty-five, certain property on the south side
of Pratt street, in the city of Baltimore, between Paca
and Green streets, was devised in trust to the children of
the testator's son, James Power, under certain limitations
and restrictions in said will contained; and whereas, it is
represented to the legislature that it would be for the be-
nefit and advantage of said children, that said property
should be exchanged for other property in Baltimore coun-
ty — therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall and may be lawful for John Walsh, the trus-
tee to whom said property is as aforesaid devised for said
children, to exchange the same for other real property in
Baltimore county, and that he shall thereafter hold such
exchanged property to and for the same uses and trusts
in all respects, as he now holds the property devised as

Proviso.

aforesaid; provided, that before such exchange shall be
made, the same shall be reported to and confirmed by Bal-
timore county court, sitting as a court of equity; and the
consent of the adult children of the said James Power
shall accompany and make a part of the said report.
