CHAP 331.

fore.

Court authorised to

order sale of estate.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall and may be lawful for the Chancellor, or
for Dorchester county court, as a court of equity, up-

on the petition in writing, of the guardian or prochein

ami, of the infant children of Jacob Pattison and
Charlotte H. Pattison, his wife, and the appearance
by guardian to be appointed by the chancellor or coun-

ty court as aforesaid, and on the hearing and exami-

nation of all the facts and circumstances, and on its

appearing to the said chancellor, or county court, that

it will be for the benefit, of all parties interested in the
said deed of trust, or instrument of writing, to order
and decree, a sale of the said real estate conveyed by
Jacob Pattison, in trust to the said Hetty Rounds, for
the use and benefit of the several persons therein men-
tioned, by indenture bearing date the twenty-first day
of November eighteen hundred and thirty-one; pro-

vided nevertheless, that the consent of all the adults

shall first be obtained in writing, for the said sale, and
that the sale, be subject to all the limitations, liabili-
ties and restrictions now imposed by the act to author-
ize the chancellor and the several county courts of this

supplements thereto.

CHAPTER 331.

Passed April 1,
1839.

An act entitled an act, to authorize the Levy Court of
Calvert County to receive and dispose of a certain
sum of money therein mentioned.

Discretionary pow-

ers.

Be it enacted by the Central Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Calvert county, be, and they
are hereby authorised and empowered to receive and
dispose of a sum of money granted by the Congress of
the United States to said county, in consideration of
the burning of the court house in said county, by the
British during the late war, in such manner as they
