WHEREAS, Richard Pattison, late of Dorchester
county, in the State of Maryland, now deceased, was
in his life time, seized and possessed in fee simple, of
certain tracts of land, situate and lying on Taylor's
island, in the county aforesaid; and whereas, the said
Richard Pattison, did by his last will and testament,
bearing date the eighteenth day of April, in the year
of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty-three, give
and devise unto his son, Jacob Pattison, in fee simple,
the whole of these several tracts of land lying on Tay-
lor's island, as aforesaid; and whereas, the said Jacob
Pattison, by indenture bearing date the twenty-first
day of November one thousand eight hundred and thir-
ty one, did give, grant, bargain and sell the said
tracts of land, more particularly and at large descri-
bed in the said deed or instrument of writing, unto a
certain Hetty Rounds, her heirs and assigns, the said
tracts of land described in the said deed of bargain and
sale, as aforesaid, with all the appurtenances, in trust
and confidence fur the7 sole and separate use of Char-
lotte H. Pattison, the wife of the said Jacob Pattison,
on, and Jacob Pattison, her husband: and whereas, it
is also further declared by the said deed of trust, that
in the event of the wife's surviving the husband, in
that case the said Hetty Rounds shall have the said
lands in trust for the said Charlotte H. Pattison for
and during her widowhood, and from and after her
death and marriage, to and for the use of all and eve-
ry such child or children of the said Jacob Pattison,
as he may leave behind him at his death, begotten of
the said Charlotte H. Pattison, and born during the
life of the said Jacob Pattison, their heirs and assigns
to be equally divided among them as tenants in com-
mon; and whereas, it is represented to this General
Assembly that the said Jacob Pattison has since de-
parted this life, leaving his wife and several children,
all of whom are still living; and whereas, it is also re-
presented that a sale of. this property would greatly add
