LAWS OF MARYLAND.

George Biddle his obligation under seal for the payment of
the purchase money with interest, at which time the said
George Biddle put him in possession of the said tract or
parcel of land so sold which the legal representatives of
said John L. Becks shall hold and for which George Davis
executor of said Biddle, hath demanded and received the
purchase money with the interest thereon according to the
terms of the original contract, and for which the heirs of
the said Beeks now demand a lawful title for the same, they
having the said George Middle's obligation to make a good
and valid deed upon the. payment of the purchase money;
and whereas, in consequence of the infancy of the child of
the said George Biddle who died intestate, the heirs of the
said John L. Beeks are unable to procure a deed of con-
veyance without the aid of a court of equity, the expense
of which might exceed the entire value of said tract or
parcel of land — therefore,

CHAP. 15.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the said George Davis, having received
the payment to him as executor of the said George Biddle
of all the purchase money now due with the interest there-
on accrued, shall be and is hereby authorized and empow-
ered to execute and deliver to the heirs or assigns of said
John L. Beeks a deed of conveyance to be executed and
acknowledged according to law for said tract or parcel of
land which was sold by the said George Biddle in his life
time to the said John L. Beeks

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any deed which shall
be executed under the provisions of the foregoing section
shall be deemed and taken to be in all courts of justice
and elsewhere, as valid and operative to all intents and pur-
poses as if the same had been executed by the said George
Biddle in his life time.

CHAPTER 15.

 

An act for the relief of John B. Brooke, Clerk of Prince
George's County Court.

Passed Jan.
18, 1843.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the time allowed by law to John B.
Brooke Clerk of Prince George's County Court to place
his fees in the hands of the Sheriff for collection, be and the
same is hereby extended to the first day of April next;
provided, the Sheriff of the said county shall not be answer-
